Locations in Calderas Bay, located in the south-central part of the island. Our first stop is the Las Calderas Naval Base, a large and well-protected harbor.
We continue to the Calderas Dunes, better known as the “Bani Dunes,” a desert or dune field formed by a natural phenomenon.
From there, we moved to the salt mines of Salinas de Puerto Hermoso, founded during the colonial era. The tons of salt are the result of a natural phenomenon, where the sun and air cause seawater to evaporate through a natural process.
