Business Visas (Single or Multiple)

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE APPLICANT ABROAD

  1. Visa Completed and properly typed or printed. Available at consular offices or on the service portal (Click Here)
  2. Visa application letter (not notarized), Addressed to the consul, signed by the beneficiary's company or institution, containing the beneficiary's name, nationality, place of residence, activity, financial means, and purpose of travel to the country. This document must be issued by the beneficiary's company or institution on a stamped and sealed sheet. 
  3. One (1) 2 x 2 inch photograph , front facing and with a white background. (Passport type)
  4. Original Passport must have a minimum validity of eighteen (18) months.
  5. Birth Certificate, Apostilled by the Secretary of State that issued the certificate.
  6. Legible photocopy of your National Identification Document (driver's license) and a copy of your Residence Card, if you reside in a second country.
  7. Certificate of No Criminal Record issued by the FBI (Not required for minors) This certificate is valid for 10 months from the date of issue and certificates from the countries in which you have resided in the last 5 years, duly legalized or apostilled by the Secretary of State, as appropriate.
  8. Labor Certification, indicating your date of entry into the company, position you hold in the company, salary. 
  9. For the guarantor in Dominican Rep.
  • Certified check or money order made payable to the Dominican Consulate in CA

Letter of Guarantee, Duly notarized and legalized by the Attorney General's Office, this document must be presented by the applicant along with the other documents on the day of their interview at the Dominican consulate. It is essential that this letter of guarantee contains the following clause, so that it can be accepted by our diplomatic or consular mission: 

WARRANTY CLAUSE:

"I guarantee that (name, nationality, and passport) will not remain in the Dominican Republic longer than the period granted by the General Directorate of Immigration, nor will they apply for residency or change their immigration status from within the Dominican Republic, dedicating themselves exclusively to the activity for which they were granted the visa. I assume moral and financial responsibility for their return to their country of origin, and I assume responsibility for paying any expenses that said person may incur during their stay in the country, or that arise as a result of their repatriation or deportation from the country."

  1. a) Financial solvency of the guarantor, can be demonstrated by one or more of these:

  1. b) Copy of the guarantor's identity card.

  3. Include a prepaid (properly stamped) and pre-addressed (with your address) envelope to send your documents and payment to the Dominican Consulate in California. 500 North Brand Blvd. Suite #960, Glendale, CA 91203. (We recommend that the envelope include a tracking number.) You can use UPS, DHL, or USPS. (We are not responsible for shipping charges.) 

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Do not buy a travel ticket until you are informed if your visa has been approved.

Having completed all the requirements required above does not mean visa approval, but indicates that the consulate can accept your request, evaluate it and send it to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who will issue the final decision.

Once in Dominican territory, they have a period of 30 days to appear before the General Directorate of Migration (DGM) to formalize the procedures of their residence, visas or temporary permit, having to complete the additional requirements that it requires according to the Regulation of application of General Migration Law No. 285.
