Visa de Residencia – Inversión

REQUISITOS SEGUN TIPO DE VISA:
  1. Visa form filled out and duly completed by computer or in readable print. Available at the headquarters of the consular offices or the service portal (Download link at the bottom of the page)
  2. Visa application letter with the signature of the beneficiary addressed to the corresponding consular office, containing name, nationality, place of residence and productive activity to which he is engaged, as well as information on how he plans to settle in the country as a spouse or child ( a) from a legal resident in the Dominican Republic or from Dominican Republic, this letter does not have to legalized, nor apostilled.
  3. Una (1) fotografía tamaño 2 x 2 pulgadas, de frente y con fondo blanco. (Tipo Pasaporte)
  4. (Passport Type) Original passport must be valid for a minimum of eighteen (18) months.
  5. Acta de Nacimiento del interesado Apostillada, por la Secretaria de Estado.
  6. Medical Letter that the petitioner has no infectious and contagious diseases and signed by the doctor or hospital.
  7. Legible photocopy of the national identification document (driver's license) and copy of the Residence Card, if you reside in a second country.
  8. Certificado de No Antecedentes Penales emitido por el FBI (No requerido para menores de edad) este certificado es válido por 6 meses desde la fecha de emisión) y certificados de los países en los que haya residido en los últimos 5 años, debidamente legalizado o apostillado, por la Secretaria de Estado, según corresponda.
  9. Certificate of Investor by the CEI-RD, according to the classification described below: Direct Investors: must submit a copy of the certification of the Export and Investment Center of the Dominican Republic (CEI-RD)
    1. Companies operating under the Free Zones Regime: must submit a copy of the certification of the National Free Zones Council.
    2. Foreign Companies Contracted or Sub-Contracted by the Executive Power: must submit a copy of the contract or the official gazette where the contract with the Dominican state is published.
    3. Border Development Projects: you must present the certification of the National Border Development Council.
    4. Tourism Development Projects: It can be accredited by both the Dominican Republic Export and Investment Center (CEI-RD), and by the Ministry of Tourism.

If the applicant is an economic dependent, a domestic employee, guardian, direct-line ascendant or child over 18 years of age of the beneficiary, a letter of guarantee must be added where the guarantor (beneficiary of the program) records the quality and condition of the dependent of the applicant's residence, and specify that he is responsible for the maintenance and repatriation expenses if necessary.
    6. In the event that the applicant is a shareholder of the company, he must also present Act of the company's administrative council in original and a copy to deposit.

Notes:

  • Do not buy a travel ticket until you are informed if your visa has been approved.
  • Having completed all the requirements required above does not mean visa approval, but indicates that the consulate can accept your request, evaluate it and send it to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who will issue the final decision.
  • Once in Dominican territory, they have a period of 30 days to appear before the General Directorate of Migration (DGM) to formalize the procedures of their residence, visas or temporary permit, having to complete the additional requirements that it requires according to the Regulation of application of General Migration Law No. 285.
