Requirements
- Birth certificates of the parties (Bride and Groom). Each birth certificate must have the Apostille from the office of the Secretary of State, from the state where each person was born. These documents should be certified and translated into Spanish by our Consulate.
- Declaration of Single Status for each of the parties (Bride and Groom). (Link to download at the bottom of the page). Signatures must be notarized by a notary public and others to the County Clerk, who certifies the validity of the commission of the notary public. Notarized declarations must subsequently be submitted to the office of the Secretary of State to be Apostilled. These documents should be certified and translated into Spanish by our Consulate.
- If one or both parties are divorced, they must send a certified copy of the divorce Decree, Apostilled by the office of the Secretary of State where the document was issued. These documents should be certified and translated into Spanish by our Consulate.
- Incluya un sobre pre-pagado (previo estampado) y pre-dirigido (con su dirección) para regresar los documentos. Se recomienda que utilicen los servicios de UPS o DHL.(We are not responsible for shipping payments)..
- Please send the documents indicated above, together with a certified check or money order payable to the Dominican Consulate in California, to our address: 500 N. Brand Blvd. suite 960 Glendale, CA 91203.
Note: The client must submit all documents to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic (MIREX) to certify and legalize the seal and signature after the Consulate performs the translation.
IMPORTANTE: Important: To process this request, you must send by postal mail the documents WITHOUT REMOVING THE APOSTILLES, a copy of your Dominican or foreign identification, home address, telephone number, and email address where we can contact you.
