The Dominican Republic, through its consular offices abroad, offers NOTARY PUBLIC services to all citizens so they can carry out any activity or function for which such documents or services are essential, when executed under the laws of the Dominican Republic or any other country. There are different types of sworn declarations, such as: Marital Status, Loss of Document, Renunciation of Dominican Nationality, Sworn Declaration of Non-Entry, as well as Sworn Declarations of Various Nature. These are intended to take statements from citizens not previously identified by the Consular Office. The Consular Office will ask the citizen the final use of the declaration in order to assist them in drafting it.<\/span><\/p>\n

AFFIDAVITS OF DOMICILE<\/span><\/p>\n

The Affidavits of Domicile have the objective that Dominican citizens can indicate to the authorities of any country or institution, where they have been residing in a certain period of time. Often this service is demanded because in the Dominican Republic there is no national registration system that can certify where a citizen has lived exactly when they have resided in Dominican territory.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dominicans and foreigners who need to make AFFIDAVITS for validity in the Dominican Republic or another country can go to Dominican consular offices to have the AFFIDAVIT taken.<\/span><\/p>\n

REQUIREMENTS:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Valid Dominican Identification (C\u00e9dula) (if you have one).<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Valid Dominican passport (if you have one).<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Identity Document of the DECLARANT of the country where it is located (if any).<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Accurate information of what the citizen pursues with the Affidavit.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Include a prepaid (pre-stamped) and self-addressed envelope for the return of documents. We recommend using UPS or DHL. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
