The Dominican Republic is a country open to the world. All our natural beauties, our history, investment and business options, as well as the warmth of our citizens, invite people from all countries to visit us and enjoy a charming island full of opportunities.<\/p>\n

Dependency visas are issued on the basis of family dependency of the users, beneficiaries of diplomatic visas, officers, courtesies, business for work purposes (NM1) and student, subject to the type of visa granted to the main family member or employer of who depend.<\/p>\n

All foreign citizens legally residing in the Dominican Republic have the right to apply for dependency visas at the consular offices of the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n

REQUIREMENTS ACCORDING TO TYPE OF VISA:<\/div>\n
    \n
  1. Visa form filled out and duly completed by computer or in readable print. Available at the headquarters of the consular offices or the service portal (Download link at the bottom of the page)<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Visa application letter addressed to the consular office by the person on whom the beneficiary depends, who must identify himself, present proof that he has a Student or Business Visa for Work Purposes for one year NM1 (in the latter case said communication must be signed by the agency on which the beneficiary of the NM1visa depends). Likewise, you must indicate whether the person in favor of whom the visa is requested depends on him for family ties or for work relationship.<\/li>\n
  3. One (1) 2 x 2 inch photograph<\/b> , front facing and with a white background. (Passport type)<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Original passport must be valid for a minimum of eighteen (18) months.<\/li>\n
  5. Birth certificate<\/b> of the interested party, apostilled by the Secretary of State.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Medical Letter that the petitioner has no infectious and contagious diseases and is suitable for studies, signed by the doctor or hospital.<\/li>\n
  7. Legible photocopy of the National Identification Document (driver's license) and copy of the Residence Card, if you reside in a second country.<\/li>\n
  8. Certificate of No Criminal Record issued by the FBI<\/b> (Not required for minors) this certificate is valid for 6 months from the date of issue) and certificates from the countries in which you have resided in the last 5 years, duly legalized or apostilled by the Secretary of State, as appropriate.<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. Copy of the Visa or Dominican Residence Card and copy of the passport of the person on which the interested party depends.<\/li>\n
  10. Authorization of the parents or guardian, when it comes to a minor; In this case, the father and mother are required to have written authorization to apply for the visa and bring the minor to live in the Dominican Republic.<\/li>\n
  11. For the guarantor in Dominican Rep.\n
      \n
    1. Letter of Guarantee, duly notarized and legalized in the Attorney General's Office, this document must be presented by the applicant along with the other documents on the day of his interview at the Dominican consulate, it is essential that this letter of guarantee contains the following clause, so that it can be accepted by our diplomatic or consular mission:<\/li>\n
    2. WARRANTY CLAUSE<\/strong>\n
        \n
      1. \u201cI guarantee that (name, nationality and passport), will not remain in the Dominican Republic longer than the one granted by the General Directorate of Migration, nor will it apply for residence or change of immigration status from the Dominican territory, dedicating itself exclusively to the activity for which He was granted a visa. I make myself morally and economically responsible for the return of their country of origin, assuming to pay in favor of the Dominican State any expenses that said person may incur during their stay in the country, or that originates as a result of their repatriation or deportation thereof\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
      2. Economic solvency, can be demonstrated by one or more of these:\n

        1. Bank letter<\/li>\n
        2. Work Letter<\/li>\n
        3. Title deeds<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          1. Photocopy of the current diplomatic, official, courtesy visa, business for work purposes (NM1) and of a student granted to their principal or employer.<\/li>\n
          2. Legible photocopy of previous Dominican visas or residence card (if it is a renewal).<\/li>\n
          3. Please call to quote the required translations and \/ or legalizations. <\/span><\/li>\n
          4. Include a prepaid (pre-stamped) and self-addressed envelope for returning documents. We recommend using UPS or DHL. (We are not responsible for shipping costs.)<\/li>\n
