Once in Dominican territory, the beneficiary of this visa must appear before the General Directorate of Migration to formalize the procedures of their temporary residence, and must complete the additional requirements that it requires, this visa being the first requirement. (Section VI, Article 48, Section (a) Decree No. 631-11, Regulation of application of the General Migration Law No. 285-04).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">REQUIREMENTS FOR THE APPLICANT ABROAD<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Visa<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Completed and properly typed or printed legibly. Available at consular offices or on the service portal (download link at the bottom of the page).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Visa Application Letter <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">with the signature of the beneficiary addressed to the corresponding consular office, containing name, nationality, place of residence and productive activity to which he\/she is dedicated, as well as information on how he\/she plans to establish himself\/herself in the country as spouse or child of a foreigner legally residing in the DR or of a Dominican, this letter is not legalized or apostilled.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\" class=\"translation-block\"><b>One (1) 2 x 2 inch photograph<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, front facing and with a white background. (Passport type)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Copy of original passport<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> must be valid for a minimum of eighteen (18) months.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Birth certificate of the interested party, apostilled<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, by the Secretary of State.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Medical Letter<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that the petitioner does not have any infectious or contagious diseases and signed by the doctor or hospital.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Legible photocopy of the national identification document<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (driver&#039;s license) and a copy of the Residence Card, if you reside in a second country.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\" class=\"translation-block\"><b>Certificate of No Criminal Record issued by the FBI<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(Not required for minors) this certificate is valid for 6 months from the date of issue) and certificates from the countries in which you have resided in the last 5 years, duly legalized or apostilled by the Secretary of State, as appropriate.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Marriage certificate, and\/or notarized declaration of free union <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;duly legalized or apostilled, as appropriate, by the Secretary of State.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Certified check or money order made payable to the Dominican Consulate in CA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>If one of the parties is Dominican and their marriage was abroad:<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"3\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Marriage certificate transcribed before the Civil Registry of the Central Electoral Board (JCE). Law No. 659-44 on acts of civil status, art. 58 numeral&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"3\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To transcribe the minutes, it is necessary (If it is written in a language other than Spanish, it must be translated by a and legalized by the Consulate of the Republic.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>If both parties are foreigners and their marriage was abroad:<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Marriage certificate. If it is written in a language other than Spanish, it must be translated and legalized by the Consulate of the Dominican Republic or Apostille, as appropriate) and the translation.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Copy of the Identity and Voter Card<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">l of your Spouse and\/or Family Member on whom you depend.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Guarantee letter:<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By which the husband (wife) in the Dominican Republic, is morally and economically responsible for the foreigner, as well as for the return to his\/her country of origin once the employment relationship has been concluded by either party, committing himself\/herself in the event that the visa is valid, to process its cancellation or annulment without prejudice to the beneficiary before the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and likewise assumes to pay in favor of the Dominican State any expense that said person may incur during his\/her stay in the country, or that arises as a consequence of his\/her repatriation or deportation from it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Important:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Notarized and legalized by the Attorney General&#039;s Office. (It does not require an apostille from the Foreign Ministry.) NOTE: Copy of the guarantor&#039;s ID and voter registration card.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol start=\"12\">\n<li><b>Documents demonstrating the guarantor&#039;s financial solvency in the Dominican Republic:<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This solvency could be demonstrated by one or more of these cases: These documents may include <\/span><b>as the case may be:<\/b> <b>&nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bank Card: updated with account balance details.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Working letter Copies of certificates of securities of real estate or real estate (must submit originals at the time of deposit).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Copy of Financial Certificates.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pension Income Certification<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Any other document that demonstrates economic solvency<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Any other document demonstrating economic solvency<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Include a prepaid envelope<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (properly stamped) and pre-addressed (with your address) to send your documents, please send all documents and payment to the Dominican Consulate, 500 North Brand Blvd., Suite # 960, Glendale, CA 91203. (We recommend that the envelope include a tracking number.) You can use UPS, DHL, or USPS.
