Consul General of the Dominican Republic on the West Coast of the United States.<\/h3>

Alfonso Rodr\u00edguez Zorrilla (Santo Domingo, January 5, 1957) is a Dominican filmmaker, presenter, film and television producer, and politician.<\/p>\n

He graduated from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) and in 1979 studied television and film production at the University of California, Irvine. His first film jobs were as a chief colorist at Color Tech System. He returned to the Dominican Republic and began working as a production director for several television channels, where he began directing films, sitcoms, and soap operas.<\/p>\n

In 1988, she made her first film appearance, "Tr\u00e1fico de Ni\u00f1os," and appeared in soap operas such as Cadena Braga. She also directed comedy series such as Ciudad Nueva, Electrolocos, and Pobre Presidente.<\/p>\n

In 2003 and 2004, she filmed the three parts of the television movie Jarabe de mar (Jarabe de mar) and in 2006, the romantic comedy Un macho de mujer (A Macho of a Woman). Her film Yuniol 2 received positive reviews from national and international critics and also won awards at the Casandra Awards for Best Film Production, Best Director, and Best Actor and Actress.<\/p>\n

In 2011, he directed and produced Pimp Bullies, a film centered on prostitution and human trafficking. It features Ving Rhames as the Pimp.
